88 China CAfe

A branding redesign for a family owned Chinese takeout restaurant focused on clarity, visual hierarchy, and confident ordering.

Role: Graphic Designer

Tools: Adobe Illustrator, InDesign

  • The original to-go menu was text heavy, cluttered, and hard to read, making it difficult for customers to quickly scan and place orders. Branding was minimal, and there was no visual identity to make the restaurant stand out.

  • Simplify the menu layout for clarity and readability while keeping it text focused. Introduce a strong visual identity using a logo that incorporates the number 88 and a lucky cat for cultural relevance. Extend the branding to table tents and other materials for a consistent look.

  • Created a clean, organized to-go menu with clear sections and hierarchy, eliminating clutter. Designed a logo featuring the number 88 and a lucky cat, symbolizing good fortune. Developed complementary table tents and cohesive branding elements for a unified restaurant identity.

  • A visually appealing, easy to read menu that improves customer ordering. Stronger brand recognition through the new logo and table tents. A professional, consistent look that feels modern while respecting cultural symbolism.
